The Vampire Diaries: So Long, Farewell.

The previous episode was probably the last we'll see of Klaus for a while. Sigh. It took me a while to get on the Klaus train, but once they started emphasizing his fear of being alone, his evil deeds suddenly took on an angsty glow.

Last week, he lead a one man siege on The Gilbert House. It was very Big Bad Wolf. Which makes Jeremy, Damon, and Stefan the pigs. And Bonnie the... well the annoying, boring deus ex machina.

So he throws fence bits and rocks and is all GRR but then the boys come out and are all "LOOK DUDE! We don't have Elena so calm the F down." And he does.

In the best scene of the night, dear Klaus rushes in a rescues Caroline. Klaus and Caroline! He really cares! He's clearly worried about her getting to saftey. He figures he's got all the time in the world to make her see his Klausy charms.

But... then he kidnaps her BFF and starts draining her blood.

Kidnapping your crush's best friend isn't the best way to win her over. But he figures Caroline is a long con so what he does now isn't really relevant. It's relevant to the Salvatore brothers though (and Bonnie who's still waiting around in the woods...) and they take The Original DOWN.

Oh Klaus. I guess they'll probably bring him back some day (this isn't British television after all...) but I'd imagine they'll have a whole new series of big bads in mind for season four. If I were a betting gal, I'd bet it'll be a while before we see Mr. K again. Hail and Farewell, daahhling. It's been real.
